About the site
About Find My Skin Routine
An independent, cross-brand skincare routine finder: what it is, who makes it, where the guidance comes from, and how it stays honest about money and medicine.
What this site is
Find My Skin Routine is an independent skincare routine finder. A free 60-second quiz matches your skin type, goals, budget and sensitivities to a complete cross-brand routine — cleanser, treatment, moisturizer, sunscreen and optional extras — with every product reviewable on Amazon before you buy. Around the quiz sits a library of routine guides, best-of roundups, an ingredient glossary and a crawlable product research library, all generated from the same editorial source so they stay consistent.
Who writes it
The site is researched, written and maintained by the Find My Skin Routine editorial team. We deliberately do not invent medical credentials: no fictional dermatologists, no stock-photo doctors. Until a named, board-certified clinician formally reviews the site, authority here comes from transparent sourcing, a published methodology and restraint about what a shopping tool can and cannot tell you.
Where the guidance comes from
Every skin-health claim on a guide or roundup cites its source, visibly, at the bottom of the page. We rely on dermatology organizations and peer-reviewed research — the American Academy of Dermatology for cleansing, sunscreen, acne and dry-skin guidance[1][2][3][4], DermNet for topical actives such as retinoids[5], and published studies for ingredient evidence. If a page cannot cite a source for a claim, the claim does not ship.
How pages stay current
Pages carry a visible freshness date and are rebuilt together, so guidance, product data and structured data stay in lockstep. The product catalog — ratings, review counts, estimated prices, availability — is re-checked and the roundups re-ranked on a recurring basis; dead products are replaced rather than left to rot.
How the site makes money
The site is free because it is supported by affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases — you pay the same price either way. Commissions never buy placement: rankings are driven by customer rating, review volume, ingredient fit and price, and the full ranking logic is public on the how-we-pick page.
What we won’t do
This site is informational, not medical advice. A quiz can organize shopping; it cannot diagnose. Cystic or scarring acne, eczema, rosacea, persistent redness, painful reactions or any changing spot deserve a board-certified dermatologist, not a routine finder.
Find us elsewhere
We share routine guides and product picks on Pinterest. The full ranking methodology lives on the how we pick page, and the complete research catalog is browsable in the product library.
